MIX RECIPES

Ms. Steen’s Cookie Crusted Ham

1 spiral cut ham, fully cooked (7-10 lbs)
1 13 oz package of Ms. Steen’s Oats to Joy™ Oatmeal-Raisin-Cranberry cookie mix
3/4 cup apple juice

Pre-heat your oven to 375oF.  Place the ham in a baking dish and set aside. Gently open the spiral of ham before applying the mixture.

Combine Ms. Steen’s Oats to Joy™ cookie mix with the apple juice.  Next, pour the mixture over the ham.  The mixture will run off the side of the ham.  To avoid sticking or burning of the mixture, you may want to add 1/2 cup of water to the bottom of your roasting pan.

Roast ham in the oven uncovered for approximately 45-60 minutes or until golden brown.  Baste after 20 minutes with the mixture in the bottom of the pan. Serve the ham warm or cold.

Ms. Steen’s Oatmeal Rum Balls

3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup dark rum or bourbon
1 ½ Tablespoons dark corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 13 oz package of Sandra Steen’s Oats to Joy™ Oatmeal-Chocolate Chip mix
Powered Sugar

In a large bowl melt the chocolate chips according to the directions on the package.  Next, whisk in the rum, vanilla extract, and corn syrup.

Finally, stir the cookie mixture into the chocolate mixture.  Let stand for 30 minutes.  Roll into small balls with a tiny “ice cream scooper” or large melon baller to keep uniform size.

Roll in powdered sugar.

Recipe should yield approximately 2 dozen Rum Balls.

Ms. Steen's Chocolate Cream Cheese Bars

1 13 oz package of Ms. Steen’s Oats to Joy™ Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookie mix
1/2 Cup pecans (optional)
1/2 stick butter
2 eggs
8 ounces (net weight) cream cheese, softened
1 Cup (8 oz) powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Pre-heat your oven to 350oF.

Combine melted butter, Ms. Steen’s Oats to Joy™ Chocolate Chip cookie mix, pecans and one egg in mixing bowl. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.  Pour into greased 9X9 pan and spread evenly along the bottom.  Set aside.

In another large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, remaining egg, and vanilla extract.  Carefully spread this cream cheese mixture on top of the Ms. Steen’s Oats to Joy™ mixture.

Bake for 30 – 45 minutes or until golden brown.  Let cool before serving up the joy!

Ms. Steen's Oatmeal Apple Cobbler

1 can of apple pie filling
1/4 cup of apple juice
1/2 stick of real butter
1 13 oz package of Ms. Steen’s Oats to Joy™ Oatmeal-Raisin Cranberry cookie mix

Combine all of your ingredients in a mixing bowl.  Place mixed ingredients into a 9x9 baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until you have your desired coloring on top.
